I had a day when I was busy in the world, where the activity created a turmoil on the surface of my consciousness like waves on the surface of the ocean, which made it difficult to see through the waves to the inner silence.
It reminded me that we need to develop both the capacity to use the mind when engaged in activity and social relations, and to be able to let go of the activity and to come in contact with the deep inner silence.
The relationship between being active in the world and in social relations and the inner silence is like the relationship between the waves on the surface of the ocean and the deep inner silence on the bottom of the ocean.
From Presence - Working from Within. The Psychology of Being
The inner woman is the source of healing. The inner woman is the source of silence. The inner woman is the source of love. The inner woman is the source of belongingness with life. Embracing the inner man and woman is to discover our inner roots and wings.
From Presence - Working from Within. The Psychology of Being
Love is one of the most divine qualities. One can enter into God from many doors, and love is one of the most beautiful doors to enter into God. Love is the most beautiful
path towards God, but one has to go on purifying the path of love.
The ordinary love is full of jealousy, anger, hatred, possessiveness, ego and domination.
These are the parasites of love, which have to be removed so that love becomes purer,
alive and intense.
First love is a relationship with another person and then love becomes a friendship.
Then love becomes only a loving quality of our heart, and ultimately love becomes love
itself. We become love. That is divine love. The path of love ultimately leads to God.
From The Way of the Heart
Becoming aware of our inner man and woman means to discover the roots and creative potential of both the male and female aspect within ourselves. Becoming aware of the inner man and woman means to understand that they have different visions of life. It means to understand that they have different perspectives and views of life. The inner man and woman are our two wings of love and freedom. Through awareness, acceptance and understanding, we can allow our two wings to develop in a deep and natural harmony. In the world today, a one-sided development of the male side leads to destructivity. A one-sided development of the male side leads to ego, struggle, exhaustion and a separation from life. A one-sided development of the female side leads to passivity and dependence.
From Presence - Working from Within. The Psychology of Being
God comes like a breeze. You cannot see it, but you can feel it. And you can be mmensely enriched and nourished by it. If somebody is open to you, they will also feel your bliss.
God cannot be believed in, and those who believed in God are deceiving themselves. A real trust in God is not a belief, it is an insight and experience. God has to be experienced. When you do not have an experience, you are open to experience. In that freedom something can transpire.
In that silence and emptiness, you are open for something from the beyond to transpire like a breeze. You cannot see it, but you will feel it. It has a freshness to it. You will feel the fragrance, and it will transform you.
Then God is a certainty to you. Then only God exists.
From The Way of the Heart
Saying yes to existence means surrendering to God. It means not living the isolated life of the ego. It means becoming one with the whole. It contains in essence the whole of religion.
Meditation is saying yes to existence. And then there is no fear. When you drop your ego all fear disappears. Then whatsoever God wills you do. You are no more responsible, because you are not. Then it is all up to God.
With this trust a great revolution in your life
happens. You don't exist as a separate entity
anymore. It is like a drop slipping into the ocean.
It means losing its limited definition, it means losing its identity, but it means to gain tremendously. It becomes the ocean. So the loss is not much, but the gain is infinite.
