Some people think homeschooling is expensive. They think a good education has to have a massive budget — because that’s
what the public education system does — but in truth, throwing money at materials doesn’t get the job done. Giving children individualized learning experiences and the ability to grow and ask questions is more important.

Still, education is what foundationally supports philosophy, so I will focus my attention on educational aspects that I think should be promoted----this includes helping students learn the logic behind why something is true, use things that have been memorized to apply them in tasks involving critical thinking or real-world problem-solving, improve modeling skills, explain why skills are important to learn, instead of forcing people to remember them, and---”

I looked for my One Year Bible, searching for Luke 10:41, which said, “But the Lord said to her, ‘My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these DETAILS.’” (The emphasis on “all these details” was Dad’s, not mine.)

To reform the most important aspects of the social contract such as education, health care, environment and pensions, requires boldness and steadfastness. It takes a generation to determine whether reforms have been successful so government policy must hold its course despite changes in prime ministers and control of parliament.

It is possible that someday the American government may be thankful for the American missionaries who have carried on in the interior of China in spite of strong advice to the contrary. This tie of Sino-American friendship may aid very materially in salvaging the friendship of the two nations so seriously endangered by our present policy.
